Tragically in Spring of 2023, the Tiger Band and Guard Family lost a former member of our program, Jacob Heikkila, Class of 2021.
In commemoration of Jacob and with a steadfast commitment to raising awareness about suicide prevention, Jacob's family seeks to pay tribute to his legacy by establishing a scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to a senior who has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the Tiger Band program and exhibits promise for a successful future, whether within or beyond the realm of music.
His family, along with our Booster Club, have graciously established The Jacob Heikkila Memorial Scholarship. This $500 scholarship will be awarded to one dedicated Tiger Band member, providing vital financial support for their postsecondary college or career plans.
Despite the sorrowful circumstances, it brings us comfort to honor Jacob's memory by supporting a deserving student who embodies promise and dedication. This scholarship represents not only financial aid but also the spirit of pursuing dreams, ensuring that Jacob's legacy continues to inspire future generations of Tiger Band members.
